The Rhythm That Built America

Beats Without Borders is a dynamic educational music experience that traces the cultural journey of rhythm — from Africa and Spain, through the Caribbean, into New Orleans, where the foundations of American music were formed. Through live piano, storytelling, rhythm demonstrations, and interactive engagement, students experience how culture, identity, and resilience shape artistic innovation.

As a world-traveling performer, Harry Rios challenges students to search within themselves for hidden talent and untapped potential — showing them how individual skills become pathways to fulfilling careers when paired with discipline, confidence, and perseverance.

Rejection is not a stopping point — it is part of growth.

International Cruise Ship Headliner
About the Performer

Harry Rios

Harry Rios is an international cruise ship headliner, bringing live piano performances to audiences around the world. Raised between New Orleans and his Puerto Rican heritage, his music carries the same cultural throughline this program teaches students — and he brings that same stage energy directly into the gym, auditorium, or multipurpose room.

Every performance is customized by grade level, so the history, the music, and the message land the same way for a third-grade classroom as they do for a graduating senior.
